The Cambridge University Conservative Association (CUCA) has been accused of elitism over their recent publication of their "Big Blue Freshers' Guide". The document, which was given out to new first year students contains informations on how to tie a bow tie, correct black and white tie attire as well as advice to students to "Save water - drink champagne".
The guide was harshly criticized by the Cambridge University Labour Club (CULC) saying "[CUCA] have squarely positioned themselves as a glorified social club for wannabe toffs, social climbers and minor artiscrats".
